165,000+ Pounds Of Pork, Beef And Goat Recalled Over USDA Inspection Mark

FRIDAY, Sept. 25, 2026 (HealthDay News) — A North Carolina company is recalling 167,639 pounds of raw goat, beef and pork that never went through required federal inspection, U.S. Department of Agriculture officials announced.

Don't eat any meat that carries the number "EST. 1363," the agency's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warned.

Star Meat Delivery Inc., based in Lucama, North Carolina, produced the meat on a range of dates before Sept. 22.

The labels featured a USDA mark of inspection, the stamp that normally tells buyers federal inspectors have checked the meat. But the plant number printed on them, EST. 1363, has no federal approval to process meat, FSIS said.
